Hmmmm….. I find myself in 2018

For me, it came and went so quickly – last year!  There were quite a few personal matters that took my time and energy during 2017.  Actually I don’t think I even got off the starting blocks’.

This year has started with a burst of activity as I finish my entry for the 2018 Laman Street Prize.  Entries must be dropped off by 22nd January and I will be finishing my hatwork this week.  Here is a snippet preview of the hat:

Happy New Year!

Hello…. it is 2017 and Chrissie and New Year celebrations are over.  I know that I work best when I feel part of a community of artists, so with this at the forefront of my mind, I decided to go with the number of artists who are leaving our great (but now sold) creative centre and re-locate to the old wool store facility in a nearby suburb.  This decision has brought a degree of relief to my recent days.

My hat thoughts this year are on the making of mens’ hats….and upskilling to enable the production of a high quality hat.  Pharrell Williams appears to love hats, and they are beautifully made.
